By sending an invitation, you are asking a friend to join the oddpodz community and become a part of the Idea EngineSM. Invitations are sent by email to people who have not yet registered.
By requesting a connection, you are adding another member of the community to your contact list. Connections are made between creatives who have already set up profiles on Oddpodz.com.
How do I edit my personal information or add new information?
Your personal information, such as your name, email, password, address and other contact information can be found by choosing "edit info & settings" from the user menu on the left hand side of the page.
This section of your profile is also where you may upload a resume (if you have created a profile as an individual), add a signature to your profile, and choose categories that best describe your skill sets.
What is a connection? How do I request a connection?
A connection is a contact you have within the Oddpodz community. A connection my be a personal friend or a professional reference or creative resource. Build a list of diverse connections to get the most out of the Idea EngineSM.
In order to request a connection, you must be looking at another member's profile. You may browse the network of creatives, by choosing "oddpodz members" from the Network drop down menu at the top of the page. Or if you know of a specific person you would like to request a connection from, you may search for that user in the same location (members area of the network). There is also a "member search" link in the user menu on the lefthand side of the page. Once you have found a member you would like to request a connection from, go to their profile and choose "request connection" from the drop down menu under the "connections" button at the top of their profile. They will be sent and email and private message informing them of your request and will appear in your connections list when they have accepted.
What can I upload to my gallery?
You may use your gallery to showcase your work or to share personal photos with others. You may upload images or documents to your gallery. Accepted file types are: .jpg, .gif, .png, .doc, .zip, .pdf, .txt, .xls with a max width:500px, max height:600px, and max size: 10240 KB.
How do I change my profile image?
First, if you are not already there, go to your profile by choosing "view & edit profile" from the user manu on the lefthand side of the page. There you will see your default profile image. Choose "update your image" from the drop-down menu under the "manage profile" button above your profile image. You will be prompted to upload an image from your computer or choose one from our collection.
What is the diffrence between a posting and a listing?
A listing provides the opportinuty for individuals and companies to
provide information about themselves. In a listing, members can give
contact information and along with a description of their business.
Listings are compiled in the Creative Services Marketplace to create a
directory of creative service providers and seekers.
A posting provides the opportuinty to advertise a talent or need. A
posting is where a company would advertise an available position or
project for which they are seeking contract work, or where a freelancer
would advertise the type of work they are looking for. Postings within
the Opportunities section function more like classifieds.
